Jumbl Hand-Held Travel Garment Steamer Review – Overview
Having issues with getting wrinkles out of your garments and fabric while on the road? The DBTECH/Jumbl Hand-held Garment Steamer is designed to treat creases, wrinkles, lint, and other fabric-related concerns. Perfect if you’re always on the rush as this 1,000-watt handheld steamer, once plugged in, claims to be functional in just 20 seconds so it could heat in an instant. Efficiency-wise, it features a unique electric pump that could push a concentrated and uninterrupted steam on demand for 5 minutes, it generously provides a direct stream that even the hard to reach spots on heavy materials can be easily treated.
Its removable water tank can hold up to 3 ounces for an uninterrupted load of clothes, fabrics, garments and more! In addition, the steamer includes a traveling pouch and convenient measuring cup making it easy to pack.
The Steamer holds enough water (about 3 ½ oz) for 5 minutes of steaming and the electrically driven pump is quiet and dependably powerful. And there are attachments for three purposes – brushing or steaming wool, steaming upholstery, and creasing fabric – in other words, toss the iron and the dry cleaners because you have everything you need for daily preparations in one little hand held machine.
Jumbl Hand-Held Travel Garment Steamer Review – Design
The Jumbl steamer is an attractively designed little steamer and is equipped with three attachment heads – wool brush, upholstery, and creaser attachments. Measuring only 11.2 inches by 5.5 inches by 4 inches it won’t take up too much room in luggage, however it is a little smaller than a regular iron and is just as heavy.
Jumbl Hand-Held Travel Garment Steamer Review – Performance
During our Jumbl travel steamer review we had anticipated this being a great steamer while on the road as it appears well designed, however the performance was lacking. It ran out of hot steam after about ten seconds and then you have to wait for it to build up steam. While we took into consideration that this steamer is small and designed for travel it does not compare to other small steamers such as the Rowenta Pro IS1430 or the DBTech Multi Steamer among others. On top of the wait time, this steamer puts a lot of water onto the clothing being steamed, which further compounds the small water capacity.
While we were able to occasionally able to get enough steam from this unit it took holding the garment tightly in order to get the wrinkles out, since at it’s best the heat output is severely lacking which seemed odd as the handle gets very hot, almost to the point of feeling unsafe, making us think that there should have been enough heat to adequately operate.
If you are looking for a travel steamer, you may want to look for other options.
